Position Overview
This is a full-time on-site position in our North Scottsdale office (DC Ranch).
We’re looking for an experienced Senior SEO Strategist or SEO Manager to join our growing team. This role will take ownership of our SEO service offering from proposal to execution. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective SEO strategies for our service industry clients across the US. The goal is to enhance their online presence, drive organic traffic, and improve search engine rankings in the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs).
As our first internal SEO Manager, you will help build a foundation for our SEO offering that could lead to building out a team in the future. In addition to SEO execution, this role will be involved in defining service offering, pricing, customer facing pitches, internal team training, and helping lead the growth of the SEO business unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive high-quality traffic to the website
- Conduct detailed keyword research, competitive analysis, and industry research to identify opportunities for growth
- Optimize on-page SEO elements, including title tags, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking, and content for target keywords
- Manage technical SEO audits and collaborate with the development team to fix issues related to site architecture, crawlability, indexation, and site speed
- Analyze website performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and other SEO tools, providing actionable insights and reporting on key metrics
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices
- Lead content optimization initiatives and work with the creative team to ensure all content is aligned with SEO goals and optimized for search engines
- Collaborate with other teams, such as paid search, creative, operations, and design, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive marketing strategies
- Manage and execute off-site link-building strategies to increase domain authority and improve the website's backlink profile
- Monitor website performance and implement strategies for improving conversion rates and reducing bounce rates
- Ensure SEO initiatives are aligned with overall business goals and digital marketing objectives
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an SEO Manager, SEO Strategist, or similar role
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices, algorithm, updates, and web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs)
- In-depth knowledge of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO strategies
- Proficiency win HTML, CSS, and website optimization practices
- Excellent communication collaboration, and project management skills
- Familiarity with content management systems like WordPress, Shopify
- Google analytics, Google ads certifications
- Experience with popular SEO tools (Moz, Screaming Frog, Yext, Vendasta)
- Experience with local SEO
