We are looking for an experienced SEO Specialist who is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese to join our Growth Marketing team. This role will lead the growth of our organic search presence in international markets, with a focus on Mexican and Brazilian markets, as well as Italian, German, French and other international markets. This role is not expected to be fluent in all language markets—rather, the candidate should have experience in managing international SEO initiatives in general and working with a team of localization specialists to guide marketing materials across several languages.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEO best practices, experience managing SEO activities across several domains and a deep knowledge of international market dynamics.
This role will be remote, but it will start hybrid during the training and onboarding period.
Core Responsibilities:
Lead our international SEO strategy and initiatives to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic to our website for international markets.
Consistently identify opportunities for SEO growth, optimizing existing content and producing new content.
Monitor and analyze website performance using SEO tools and analytics to identify trends and actionable insights.
Strategize, edit and optimize high-quality content that aligns with SEO best practices.
Manage activities with freelance writers and localization specialists to help propel international SEO efforts.
Closely track and report on SEO KPIs, effectively communicating key data insights
Conduct frequent competitor analyses to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Stay nimble among algorithm changes and SEO industry developments.
Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to amplify SEO efforts and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
Work with web developers to ensure international SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code.
Assist in the creation and optimization of localized landing pages and other digital assets.
Basic Requirements:
Fluency in English, Spanish and Portuguese
3+ years of proven experience developing, executing and reporting on SEO initiatives in Spanish and Portuguese
3+ years working with SEO on-site analysis tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Semrush and Surfer SEO
3+ years of strategizing and editing SEO content; experience writing SEO content is a plus
3+ years working with SEO on-site analysis tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Semrush and Surfer SEO
3+ years working with using website analytics tools such as Google Analytics
Experience with international SEO initiatives and an understanding of cultural nuances and regional differences
3+ years working with heatmap tools such as Hotjar or Mouseflow
Familiarity with strategies to improve domain authority
Receptive to testing new strategies with the evolving search landscape
Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress
Working knowledge of CRM software such as HubSpot
Demonstrates interest in the latest news and trends relating to SEO
Self-starter who doesn’t need to be closely managed, and can freely collaborate with team members
Excellent communication skills
