About the role:
We’re looking for a hands-on Interim SEO Specialist who knows how search is evolving, from classic SEO to GEO, AI-driven discovery and search experiences beyond Google.
You’ll join an international performance marketing environment where organic search plays a key role in driving direct bookings, qualified traffic and growth across multiple European markets. You’ll work closely with our marketing teams and digital product teams to shape the future of search visibility.
This is not a “keep the website ranking” role. We’re looking for someone who actively experiments, challenges existing ways of working and stays ahead of developments in AI search, automation and search behavior.
What will you do:
- Own and further develop the SEO and GEO strategy across multiple European markets, with focus on NL, BE and DE.
- Drive organic visibility, qualified traffic and direct bookings through modern search optimization techniques.
- Optimize content and visibility for both traditional search engines and AI-driven discovery platforms.
- Translate business goals, audience insights and commercial priorities into actionable SEO initiatives.
- Perform advanced keyword and search intent research aligned with customer journeys and business objectives.
- Identify growth opportunities in technical SEO, content optimization, local SEO and AI search visibility.
- Monitor algorithm updates, AI search developments and emerging trends within SEO and GEO.
- Use data and insights to continuously improve performance and identify new opportunities.
- Help implement smarter workflows using AI tooling and automation.
- Work with tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Promptwatch and other SEO/AI monitoring platforms.
- Support experimentation with AI-generated content workflows, prompt optimization and search experience innovation.
- Challenge existing strategies and continuously look for more efficient and scalable ways of working.
This is you:
- You have 5–8 years of experience in SEO, preferably within high-volume e-commerce, travel or agency environments.
- You understand how search engines and AI-driven search experiences evolve and influence visibility.
- You have solid experience with technical SEO, content optimization, keyword strategy and local SEO.
- You know how to translate data into actionable insights and business impact.
- You’re experienced with tools like Google Analytics, Search Console and SEO crawling/monitoring platforms.
- You understand performance marketing beyond SEO and have affinity with channels like affiliate marketing and paid search.
- You’re comfortable working with agencies and know how to challenge and improve external execution.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Culturally aware and comfortable working across European markets.
- You are naturally curious and continuously looking for smarter ways of working.
- You have a strong interest in AI, innovation and emerging technologies and you are eager to apply them in a practical marketing context.
- You stay on top of trends, algorithm changes and new developments in search and AI.
- You’re proactive, pragmatic and not afraid to challenge the status quo.
- Fluent in English; Dutch or German is a plus.
