SEO Specialist

One of our colleagues is leaving for maternity leave and we’re looking for our new SEO Specialist. As an SEO Specialist, your primary focus will be on off-page SEO and technical performance. You'll own backlink strategies, manage domain authority growth, and conduct comprehensive audits that include image SEO performance. You will be developing content strategies that drive discovery through search and maximize Google visibility. While your expertise lies in off-page and technical SEO, you'll also support the wider SEO-impacting activities across content and on-page projects, bringing your SEO insights to enhance overall performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic link-building to boost domain authority and search rankings.
• Source and acquire premium backlink opportunities through targeted outreach, strategic partnerships, and content-driven approaches.
• Perform comprehensive technical SEO audits, including image SEO performance, utilizing tools like Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
• Define requirements and project manage development teams to implement technical improvements across site architecture, indexing, Core Web Vitals, structured data, and crawlability.
• Define requirements and project manage e-commerce content teams to implement content improvements across site.
• Oversee and maintain backlink profiles, preserving strong link equity.
• Measure performance using Looker, BQ, GA4, GSC, generating comprehensive and actionable reports.
• Work across content, e-commerce, tech, PR, and marketing teams to embed SEO principles throughout all digital channels.

What We’re Looking For

• A proactive, results-oriented mindset
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an SEO role, with a clear focus on off-page and technical SEO. Proven success in link-building, outreach, and domain authority growth.
• Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals: site speed, indexation, schema markup, crawl optimisation and e-commerce SEO strategy for large product catalogues and visual products.
• Working knowledge of content SEO and on-page best practices.
• Confidence using SEO tools like: Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, GA4
• Excellent reporting skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights.
• Proficiency in technical SEO, including React, TypeScript, next.js, JavaScript, and server-side factors.
• It's a plus if you have experience with Looker/BQ, CMS, python, LLMs

OTHER INFORMATION  

Start date: This is a cover for maternity leave, with a fixed-term contract for 1 year. The extent of the position is full-time, with the possibility to be extended.  

Extent: This is a full-time position, with an initial probation period of 6 months.     

Location: Stockholm, Södermalm.
