SEO Manager

Introduction

Our client is a global consultancy and professional services group headquartered in the United Kingdom, with growing operations in South Africa and Europe.

The company delivers strategic advisory, finance, and marketing solutions for international clients. The SEO Manager will be part of the global marketing team, driving visibility and inbound growth across multiple regions.

Role Overview
The SEO Manager will lead all search engine optimisation activities across the company's digital ecosystem. This includes developing and executing data-driven SEO strategies, improving organic visibility, increasing high-quality web traffic, and supporting lead generation efforts for global business units.
The ideal candidate is analytical, creative, and technically proficient — capable of translating complex search data into actionable insights and measurable performance improvements.

SEO Manager will report to the Marketing Director / Head of Digital in the Cape Town, South Africa (supporting global operations)

Duties & Responsibilities

1. SEO Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy aligned with Accquis’s global marketing goals.
  • Conduct market and keyword research to identify opportunities for organic growth.
  • Manage SEO roadmaps for multiple regional websites and business verticals.
  • Collaborate with the content and digital teams to align SEO with brand and campaign priorities.

 

2. On-Page & Technical Optimisation

  • Conduct technical audits using tools such as Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Google Search Console.
  • Optimise site architecture, metadata, schema markup, internal linking, and mobile performance.
  • Collaborate with developers to resolve technical SEO issues, improve crawlability, and enhance Core Web Vitals.
  • Ensure all web pages adhere to SEO best practices, accessibility, and indexability standards.

 

3. Content & Keyword Optimisation

  • Work closely with content creators to produce optimised blog posts, landing pages, and case studies.
  • Identify high-value keywords for global and regional targeting.
  • Create content briefs, keyword clusters, and optimisation guidelines.
  • Monitor keyword rankings and on-page performance.

 

4. Off-Page SEO & Authority Building

  • Develop and manage link-building strategies and digital PR initiatives.
  • Build relationships with relevant media, partners, and high-authority websites.
  • Monitor backlink quality and domain authority metrics, ensuring sustainable link profiles.

 

5. Analytics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Measure, analyse, and report on SEO performance using Google Analytics 4, Search Console, and Looker Studio dashboards.
  • Track KPIs such as organic traffic growth, keyword rankings, and conversion rates.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to the marketing and leadership teams.
  • Stay current with Google algorithm updates, industry trends, and emerging

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Communications, or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience (agency or in-house, ideally B2B or professional services).
  • Deep knowledge of SEO tools: SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and website architecture fundamentals.
  • Experience managing multi-regional and multi-language websites.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress, HubSpot, or Webflow.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Package & Remuneration

  • Competitive salary (R55,000 – R80,000 per month depending on experience).
