We’re hiring a SEO Director to work from our office in Dublin, Ireland

Role Purpose 

Dentsu are looking for an experienced SEO to join our award-winning team as an Account Director. We’re looking to hire someone that is passionate about SEO, has their finger on the pulse of the industry and is looking to push their clients to deliver best in class success. This person will be leader within their team, always supporting their teammates improvement, progression and learning.  

You will be required to lead and shape a highly functioning team that will exceed client objectives and expectations. You will be given freedom to create, develop and execute strategies in the ways which you feel are right for your clients with support needed whenever you require it. You will be responsible for their performance and will have the flexibility to allow you to succeed and showcase your skills.  

 Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be able to deliver two core outputs (1) Supporting the Head of SEO across a range of projects (2) Leading a highly functioning team of multiskilled SEOs.  

At its core the purpose of SEO Account Director role is to:  

Understand our clients' business objectives and translate that into best-in-class bespoke Owned Media strategies   Lead your own team to deliver innovative and ambitious solutions that deliver client objectives and KPIs   Ensure your team works collaboratively with the specialist teams across Owned and Earned (Content, Outreach, Creative, PR, GEO) to produce exceptional strategies that deliver measurable reward for clients   Deliver financial targets growing revenue and tracking progress  

Strategic Focus  

Collaborate with Head of SEO to translate business strategy into ambitious executional SEO plans and targets for your own team and clients   Support Head of SEO to work with specialist teams to deliver innovative, strategic, and commercial products and services that drive client performance.    Actively drive innovation by feeding requirements and ideas into the testing framework for SEO. Proactively suggest new propositions and product executional solutions that keep our SEO a leader versus our peers.  

Skills/Qualifications 

  • An excellent understanding of industry standard SEO tools and the ability to leverage them for your client’s needs. 
  • Direct line management experience of a team of SEO Executives and Managers, managing monthly 1:1s and Quarterly Performance Reviews (QPRs), mentor new team members to 
  • Experience managing other SEOs. 
  • Sound knowledge of HTML, CSS & JavaScript (knowledge of MySQL PHP/ASP & APIs is beneficial) 
  • A high degree of numeracy and literacy 
  • A high level of ability creating and delivering decks to clients 
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels of seniority 
  • Demonstrable leadership experience in SEO 
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients based on trust and delivery of performance. 
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Able to write persuasive business documents including new business proposals and campaign summaries 
  • Ability to manage a range of projects at once and consistently to deliver high-quality work while supporting your team 
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills 
  • Strength identifying growth opportunities for the business 
  • Ability to pre-empt problems and be pro-active in solving them 
  • Commercial understanding and able to put together scopes of work and answer client briefs
