Senior SEO Specialist

About the Role: 

The Senior SEO Specialist plays a crucial role in scaling Ogooga’s organic growth by delivering advanced, data-driven SEO strategies across multiple platforms and markets. This role requires a mix of deep technical expertise, analytical precision, and creative problem-solving. The Senior SEO Specialist ensures that all SEO initiatives are rooted in measurable data, not assumptions. This includes advanced auditing, content optimization, technical implementation, and cross-team collaboration to ensure SEO is integrated into every part of the business.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced SEO audits for large-scale websites (indexation, crawlability, response codes, sitemaps, mobile-first indexing, Core Web Vitals, JavaScript rendering).
  
• Develop and implement SEO strategies aligned with business objectives, combining technical SEO, content, and backlinking.
  
• Optimize on-page elements: meta titles/descriptions, headers, URL structures, structured data, hreflang, robots.txt, faceted navigation, content pruning.
  
• Design and execute advanced backlink strategies and redirect plans, including full-scale migrations.
  
• Use Google Search Console, crawl reports, and access log file analysis to guide deep-dive insights on crawl and indexation.
  
• Configure, monitor, and optimize SEO tools, ranking trackers, and crawl budget management.
  
• Work across various CMS platforms (primarily WordPress, but also Shopify, Magento, Joomla, PrestaShop, OpenCart, Angular/JS websites).
  
• Apply SEO strategies for duplicate content, news content, ASO, Local SEO, and YouTube SEO.
  
• Leverage regex and AI to automate processes and increase efficiency.
  
• Collaborate with content, development, marketing, and PPC teams to ensure integrated SEO implementation.
  
• Build and present SEO reports and insights using Google Analytics, Search Console, and Data Studio.
  

Technical Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, mobile-first, and Core Web Vitals.
  
• Expertise in technical SEO: crawling, indexing, response codes, sitemaps, robots.txt, metadata, URL management.
  
• Proficiency in keyword research, meta optimization, internal linking, and multilanguage structures (hreflang).
  
• Hands-on experience with multiple CMS platforms, especially WordPress. Ability to understand technical constraints and propose alternatives.
  
• Advanced use of SEO tools: Google Search Console, GA4, Data Studio, ranking trackers, and AI-driven SEO tools.
  
• 5+ years of experience in SEO (audits, migrations, complex optimization, leadership), preferably in digital marketing agencies.
  
• Proven track record with measurable results (traffic growth, Core Web Vitals improvement, successful migrations).
  
• Strong skills in Google Sheets, Analytics, Search Console, and Data Studio.
