DescriptionSome of what you will do:
We’re looking for a Senior SEO Specialist to grow organic traffic for Staples lines of business (Staples.ca, Print, SMB and Enterprise). This role involves developing SEO strategies, analyzing data, and working closely with internal teams to increase organic search traffic and drive conversion.
Specifically, You Will:
- Develop and execute SEO strategies to drive traffic and business growth.
- Perform keyword research to identify opportunities.
- Optimize website content, pages, and metadata for search engines.
- Conduct regular crawls and technical assessments to improve findability and crawlability.
- Manage the content calendar and implement changes in our CMS.
- Initiate competitive market scans to surface strategies.
- Stay abreast of new SEO trends and developments.
- Collaborate with product and development teams to prioritize and refine requests.
- Support site operations in campaign-related tasks.
- Provide local SEO support, including managing Google My Business (GMB) listings in collaboration with our external agency.
Some of what you need:
- University or college degree in a related field.
- Proficiency with SEO tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog and similar platforms).
- Proficiency in French is nice to have.
- Strong technical, on-page, and off-page SEO skills.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to resolve technical SEO issues.
- 3-5 years of SEO experience (client-side/agency).
- Experience in retail, e-commerce or SaaS.
