JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior SEO Specialist is responsible for leading SEO strategies that drive measurable results. With a deep understanding of search engine behavior, keyword optimization, and entity optimization, this role ensures resources are focused where they'll have the greatest impact.

Working closely with leadership, agency partners, and internal teams, the specialist manages multiple initiatives while maintaining clear communication and analytical focus. The ideal candidate combines tactical SEO expertise with strong problem-solving skills and adapts quickly to the ever-evolving digital landscape.

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Planning and execution of SEO strategies across traditional and AI-powered search environments
• Optimize content for visibility in emerging LLM-driven search experiences (e.g. Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini)
• Identify keyword opportunities and optimize on-page elements (titles, meta descriptions, headers, copy) in line with brand standards
• Collaborate with our SEO agency to develop quarterly roadmaps and ensure timely implementation

• Collaborate with developers on technical SEO implementations and performance enhancements

• Collaborate with the CRO team to align SEO efforts with conversion optimization goals and improve the user journey
• Partner with the PR team and Social Media team to uncover and activate off-site SEO opportunities
• Create and manage content briefs with writers and designers to align with SEO and AI optimization best practices

• Research competitors and monitor industry trends, algorithm changes, and SERP evolutions
• Track, analyze, and report on SEO performance using tools such as Google Analytics and Ahrefs

COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this role successfully, the Senior SEO Specialist must demonstrate the ability to meet each essential duty with proficiency. The qualifications below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Qualifications include:

• Proven track record of SEO success, including improved visibility in search engines and AI Search experiences
• Strong knowledge of technical SEO, LLM optimization, content marketing, link building, UX principles, and digital customer acquisition

• Up-to-date with the latest SEO and AI trends, search engine algorithms, and best practices
• High proficiency in written and spoken English
• Experience using tools such as Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, or equivalent SEO platforms.
• Previous experience managing SEO for medium to large-scale brands
• Ability to lead and manage relationships with external vendors or agency partners
• Exceptional time management, organization, communication, and analytical skills

• Strong understanding of campaign goals and strategy, with the ability to deliver actionable insights, ensure implementation, and present impact of implementation to stakeholders or clients

• Willingness and availability to travel based on business needs

EXPERIENCE:

Outlined below are the academic qualifications and length and type of experience deemed necessary by Unique Vacations Inc. in order to perform the role of Senior SEO Specialist.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
• Experience: 5+ years SEO experience, preferably travel industry related
