Be the one who makes a difference!

At Vertex Education we are a team of high achievers, courageous leaders, and passionate believers in changing lives through education. As a purpose-led education services provider, our mission is destined to benefit many and yet it starts with just one person inspired to work together with us to make a memorable and meaningful difference for our clients, schools, students, and communities.  Be the one who makes a difference—with us.

We are seeking a Web Content & SEO Manager to build a hyper-local SEO content engine that drives measurable student application growth for Legacy Traditional Schools. In this role, you will transform our website from a passive brochure into our primary enrollment driver, succeeding through a bias for action and a relentless focus on experimentation. Your mission is to rapidly test and optimize web experiences, blending authentic, community-focused storytelling with practical SEO to turn organic traffic into prospective families. This position is for a hands-on operator who is passionate about making a direct impact on student enrollment and energized by the challenge of connecting families to our schools.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Hyper-Local Content & SEO Strategy:

  • Develop and execute campus-specific SEO strategies designed to establish each Legacy Traditional School as the top choice in its local community.

  • Write, edit, and publish compelling, on-brand website copy that blends authentic school stories with targeted local keywords to attract prospective families.

  • Conduct continuous keyword research and competitive analysis to uncover content opportunities that answer the specific questions parents are asking in each geographic market.

  • Manage and direct freelance writers by creating detailed content briefs and providing clear feedback to ensure all produced content meets brand, voice, and SEO objectives.

2. Conversion Optimization & User Experience:

  • Design and launch a continuous cycle of A/B tests on headlines, calls-to-action, and forms to measurably increase the rate at which website visitors begin an application.

  • Analyze user behavior data in Google Analytics to identify and remove friction points within the online enrollment journey for prospective families.

  • Implement pragmatic user experience improvements on key enrollment pages, working within the existing WordPress theme to enhance clarity and guide users to action.

  • Collaborate with admissions and marketing teams to ensure the website’s narrative and user flow directly support and simplify the path to scheduling a tour or applying.

3. Hands-On Website Operations:

  • Perform all day-to-day content updates, page builds, and site maintenance directly within the WordPress CMS to ensure accuracy and consistency.

  • Conduct regular technical SEO audits using tools like SEMrush and Screaming Frog to identify and resolve issues that impact site health and search engine visibility.

  • Serve as the central owner of the website content lifecycle, from initial stakeholder request through publication and archival, ensuring a consistent and strategic publishing cadence.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for external web development vendors, coordinating any project work to ensure it aligns with strategic enrollment goals.

4. Performance Analysis & Reporting:

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators, including organic traffic, local keyword rankings, conversion rates, and website-attributed student applications.

  • Develop and maintain performance dashboards to provide marketing leadership with clear, actionable insights into the website’s contribution to enrollment growth.

  • Translate website performance data into strategic recommendations, continuously refining the content and testing plan to focus on the highest-impact activities.

  • Establish and manage a clear conversion tracking setup to accurately measure the website’s direct impact on lead generation and application submission goals.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience developing and executing SEO-driven content strategies that directly contribute to lead generation or user acquisition goals.

  • Demonstrated success with local SEO for a multi-location organization, including creating community-focused content that drives geographically targeted results.

  • Hands-on proficiency managing a website using WordPress, Google Analytics 4, and core SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Yoast SEO).

  • Exceptional web writing and editing skills, with a portfolio showing the ability to blend authentic brand storytelling with SEO best practices.

  • Experience designing and running A/B tests or other conversion optimization experiments to measurably improve website funnel performance.

  • A track record of managing freelance writers or external agencies, including creating content briefs and providing feedback to ensure quality and brand alignment.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to build and manage a content calendar and production workflow in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in K-12 education, charter schools, or enrollment marketing.

  • Familiarity with technical SEO audit tools like Screaming Frog.

  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS for minor on-page adjustments and troubleshooting within a CMS.

  • Experience using project management tools like Asana to manage content production.

  • Experience creating performance dashboards and communicating website analytics to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Background thriving in an environment with defined technical constraints, requiring creative and pragmatic solutions.
