You are an organic search strategist who knows how to lead clients from relative obscurity to standout visibility in search engines. Confident and clear in your communication, you're comfortable managing both short-term SEO projects and long-term retainers. You recognize that every business has unique challenges and are committed to identifying the most strategic, tailored path forward based on each client’s needs, capabilities, and competitive landscape.
You achieve client goals by listening first, crafting process-driven strategies, and executing focused tactics that directly impact organic KPIs. A proactive, collaborative team player, you bring a passion for SEO and a deep understanding of current search trends. You can confidently audit websites—both technically and from a content perspective—offering insights and recommendations including, but not limited to, page speed improvements, content optimization, search intent alignment, information architecture, and link profile evaluation.
Above all, you're a positive, proven strategist who thrives in a collaborative environment, working alongside other subject matter experts to plan and optimize integrated marketing campaigns for enterprise-level clients. You provide strategic direction and execution that enables Red Door to lead in delivering SEO success.
What You'll Need:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience:
- 4–7 years of SEO experience
- Proven success managing enterprise-level clients
- Experience making strategic recommendations and presenting to marketing leaders and C-suite stakeholders
- Agency experience preferred
- Team leadership or mentorship experience preferred
Technical & Analytical Skills:
- Proficiency in SEO tools: BrightEdge, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz (required); Yext, Bright Local, Reputation.com (preferred)
- Familiarity with analytics platforms: Google Analytics, Data Studio, Tag Manager, Adobe Analytics (preferred)
- Skilled in Screaming Frog SEO Spider, DeepCrawl, or similar tools (preferred)
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint capabilities (preferred)
SEO Expertise:
- Deep knowledge of on-page SEO best practices (metadata, heading tags, images, internal linking, etc.)
- Understanding of search intent and how it influences content strategy
- Experience with content planning informed by keyword and SERP analysis (preferred)
Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical findings and strategic recommendations
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize effectively in a deadline-driven environment
- Self-motivated and able to work semi-autonomously
- Collaborative mindset and a drive to mentor and inspire others
What You'll Do:
- Serve as the lead for client SEO strategy—developing, presenting, managing, and reporting on performance across assigned accounts
- Deliver strategic insights, analysis, and recommendations through monthly/quarterly reports grounded in current search trends and deep industry knowledge
- Identify and pursue new opportunities within and beyond current client scopes
- Stay up-to-date on SEO tools, platforms, and best practices—sharing relevant updates with both internal teams and clients
- Collaborate with other Cross Channel Marketing experts to align SEO efforts with broader marketing goals
- Document and refine internal processes and templates to support consistency and efficiency across SEO services
- Contribute thought leadership by staying on top of industry developments and communicating key changes to the team
- May lead a pod or mentor junior team members, fulfilling leadership duties as assigned
