Right now, this is two residential construction companies on Long Island that need someone who actually knows what they're doing in search. Rapid Roofing and BOSS Decks are generating real revenue, running on real systems, and growing — but organic search hasn't been built the way it should be. That's the starting point, and we're not going to dress it up.

What this becomes over the next ten years is a different conversation. The plan is a multi-brand home services platform — more companies, more markets, more brands running on shared infrastructure. That means one SEO function growing into something significant: multi-brand strategy, multiple service lines, an internal marketing operation that eventually serves brands beyond our own. The person who builds this from the ground up is the person who owns it as it scales.

The Role

You own organic search. Full stop.

That means rankings, traffic, leads, and the kind of AI and LLM visibility that makes Rapid the name that comes up when a homeowner starts asking questions — on Google, on ChatGPT, on whatever comes next.

You build the strategy. You execute it. You report on it clearly. And you're accountable for what the numbers say.

No one will be handing you a task list or standing over your shoulder. If that's what you need to perform, this isn't the right seat. But if you're the type who looks at a search landscape, sees the gap between where a company sits and where it should be, and genuinely gets fired up about closing it — read on.

What Winning Looks Like

After 90 days, if you're doing this right:

  • Money pages are moving up in money positions — not just impressions, actual rankings that drive real traffic
  • Organic traffic value is growing and attributable
  • Technical, on-page, local, content, link building, and LLM visibility are all actively managed — nothing neglected
  • Leadership always knows what's working, what's not, and what you're doing about it
  • There's a documented plan at all times — what's done, what's in progress, and what's next. No one has to guess what you're working on
  • The gap between Rapid and its competitors in search is widening

You'll have direct impact on how much revenue this company generates through inbound. That's the job.

What You Actually Need to Have

  • Proven track record moving money pages — not impressions, not sessions, rankings and leads
  • Fluent in GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs or Semrush — you know how to build a report that tells a story, not just exports a dashboard
  • Strong technical SEO foundation — audits, crawlability, site architecture, Core Web Vitals — and you've actually fixed things, not just flagged them
  • Real local SEO experience — GBP management, multi-location strategy, citation work, the stuff that matters in a service area market
  • A clear point of view on content strategy — what ranks, why it ranks, and how to brief it so it doesn't get rebuilt
  • Link building experience using approaches that still work
  • You're already thinking about AI and LLM visibility as a distinct discipline — if your answer is "it's just SEO but more of the same," this isn't the role for you

One Thing to Know Before You Apply
