SEO Specialist


Super Bright LEDs is seeking a motivated SEO Specialist who will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive SEO strategies to improve our website's search engine ranking, organic traffic, and sales. You will be a data-driven individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and possesses a strong understanding of both B2B and B2C SEO best practices.


This is a full-time position located in Earth City, Missouri. Local candidates from the St. Louis (Missouri and Illinois) region only, please.


Responsibilities:



On-Page SEO Optimization


  • Optimize meta tags (title, meta descriptions), headers (H1, H2), and alt text for product images.
  • Ensure SEO-friendly URLs, structured data, and optimized content on product and category pages.
  • Ensure Product Content & Data is fully mapped & optimized in line with best practices for Google Merchant Center/Google Shopping
  • Maintain content relevance and keyword optimization without sacrificing user experience.


Technical SEO


  • Identify and fix crawl errors, broken links, duplicate content, and other technical SEO issues via Google Search Console, SEMRush, and other tools and software on a regular basis
  • Implement structured data (e.g., schema.org) for rich snippets, product reviews, availability and any other relevant information for Organic & Paid marketing efforts


Content Strategy and Creation


  • Identify and analyze relevant keywords for product pages, categories, blog and video content.
  • Develop an SEO-friendly content strategy that supports the product and category pages.
  • Collaborate with content creators to produce relevant, engaging, and optimized content.
  • Create and manage blog posts, guides, FAQs, and resource pages that drive organic traffic.
  • Implement white-hat link-building strategies, such as guest blogging, partnerships, and influencer outreach.
  • Monitor backlinks, remove harmful links, and build relationships with reputable sites.


Analytics and Reporting


  • Use tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO platforms (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush) to track KPIs.
  • Track competitor SEO strategies & rankings to analyze their performance relative to our own.
  • Identify gaps and overlaps in content, backlinks, and keywords to capitalize on for competitive advantage.
  • Provide regular reports on organic traffic, rankings, click-through rates, and conversion metrics.
  • Adjust the SEO strategy based on data insights and performance trends.


Stay Updated with SEO Trends and Algorithm Changes


  • Keep up to date with the latest search engine algorithm updates and industry trends.
  • Adapt SEO strategies to align with evolving search engine guidelines and best practices.



Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in SEO for ecommerce companies.
  • Strong understanding of on-page and technical SEO best practices.
  • Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMRush, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
