SEO Specialist

ABOUT THIS POSITION

Aceable is seeking a SEO Specialist critical to the gathering and distributing of information to enable the success of our Marketing Team. You will help optimize different Aceable sites by finding and correcting issues (broken links, redirect chains and loops, page speed, anchor text, alt tags, and more) as well as assist with making necessary site updates to ensure data accuracy and to help the greater marketing team reach business goals. As a valued member of the SEO team, you will pull, edit, and analyze the data behind our marketing decisions, and create reports and recommendations to empower us to make smarter on-page decisions. You will work closely with other marketing channels to seek out opportunities to better align the Aceable websites with the ever-changing Search space as new algorithms are rolled out. This role is required to be on-site in our San Marcos, California office five days per week.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Use SEO tools (Ahrefs, SemRush, Screaming Frog, OnCrawl) to perform site audits and monitor the technical health of the Aceable brand websites
• Perform routine maintenance (broken links, image sizing, structured data, etc.) on our websites to keep up with site health and site speed.
• Optimize site pages within our CMS to achieve the most helpful and successful customer journey
• Act as the main point of contact for other departments when on-site updates are needed or requested
• Monitor and track performance on multiple levels and metrics

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Be located in San Marcos, CA metro and able to commute five days per week to our San Marcos, CA office
• 2+ years of experience in Marketing
• Strong attention-to-detail and a focus on accuracy
• Fast learner and good note taking skills
• Self-starter who takes initiative and is naturally inquisitive
• Confidence to ask questions when you have uncertainties
• Organized with effective time-management skills 
• Highly communicative with the ability to navigate multiple stakeholders and forums (Slack, Jira, email)
• Reside in the San Marcos, California area

• SEO knowledge (extra, extra points for Technical SEO knowledge!)
• Familiarity with current industry trends
• Familiarity with some SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Google Search Console
• Comfortable with working within a CMS
• Strong data analysis skills

Compensation: $61,500 - $82,000
