Type of contract: Permanent

Our people are the heart of Norwegian.

Embracing this culture is critical to our business success and makes us stronger together. Our people have different knowledge, experiences, and backgrounds, but all share a passion for our vision — to become the most loved and trusted airline in Europe.

Are you our new SEO Specialist?

About the role:

We are looking for a passionate and data-driven SEO Specialist to join our E-commerce & Digital team at Fornebu. In this role, you will help drive Norwegian’s digital growth by developing and executing initiatives within SEO, GEO and AEO, strengthening our performance in both traditional search and emerging AI-driven search environments.

You will play a key role in driving organic growth through high-quality content and data-driven analysis. This is a hands-on role focused on execution and continuous optimization, where you will ensure that our content is understood, surfaced, and recommended by search engines, while also contributing to the technical health of Norwegian.com. Working closely with developers, UX, content teams, and product owners, you will help embed SEO best practices across digital projects and shape our site for the future of search.

This role reports to our SEO Manager and suits someone who enjoys working at the intersection of data, technology, UX and content strategy — and wants to contribute to Norwegian’s ongoing digital development.

Key responsibilities:

SEO execution & optimization

  • Implement and execute SEO initiatives to increase organic visibility, engagement, and traffic, contributing to revenue growth.

  • Optimize on-page elements including metadata, headings, internal linking, structured data and content quality.

  • Conduct keyword research and content gap analyses to identify new growth opportunities.

  • Perform regular technical SEO checks covering crawlability, indexability, redirects, page speed and related site health factors.

AI search & emerging trends

  • Support initiatives aimed at strengthening Norwegian’s visibility in AI-driven search and GEO platforms.

  • Execute content optimizations and updates to improve visibility in search engines and AI-driven experiences.

  • Stay up to date on evolving trends, algorithm updates and new technologies, and apply relevant learnings in day-to-day work.

Performance & analysis

  • Monitor visibility performance across and engagement platforms and markets to deliver regular reports and insights.

  • Identify optimization opportunities and provide data-driven input to support decision-making.

Collaboration & support

  • Work closely with internal teams (content, UX, development, product) to integrate SEO best practices into ongoing digital projects.

  • Contribute to link-building efforts and other off-page initiatives that build domain authority.

  • Liaise with tool providers, agencies and platform partners when required.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science or a related field

  • Approximately 2 years of documented SEO experience, either in-house or at an agency.

  • Solid understanding of key SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog or similar

  • Basic knowledge of HTML and an understanding of how metadata and site structure influence performance

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

  • Interest and firsthand experience in AI-powered search experiences and tracking

  • Fluent in English and Norwegian; knowledge of an additional language is considered an advantage.

  • Onsite presence at our main office in Fornebu, Oslo is required.
