About the role: We are looking for a Link Building Operations Manager to own and scale link building execution across all client accounts, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality links while continuously reducing manual work through automation, tooling, and improved processes. This is a hands-on production role with real ownership, responsible for running link building in live environments, improving how the system operates, and leaving it cleaner and more scalable over time. The ideal candidate thrives in execution, systems thinking, and operational accountability.

What You'll Do

• Link Building Execution & Negotiation
• Own end-to-end link acquisition across all clients
• Communicate directly with publishers, editors, and site owners
• Negotiate placements, pricing, and link terms
• Track conversations, follow-ups, and outcomes accurately
• Ensure links meet quality, relevance, and placement standards
• Automation & Systems Improvement
• Identify manual steps in the link-building process and replace them with automation
• Independently design and manage Clay tables, logic, and workflows
• Use tools like Instantly, AI prompting, and enrichment platforms to scale prospecting and outreach
• Experiment with AI and automation to improve speed, quality, and consistency
• Document systems so they can be reused, improved, and eventually delegated
• Operations & Process Ownership
• Maintain clean tracking of prospects, outreach, negotiations, and live links
• Build and improve SOPs, checklists, and workflows
• Surface bottlenecks, risks, or inefficiencies early
• Improve systems instead of patching issues manually
• Prepare the operation to support junior analysts in the future

What You Need

• Experience in link building, SEO operations, or digital PR
• Comfort communicating and negotiating with publishers
• Strong spreadsheet skills and operational attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and own outcomes
• Clear written communication in English
• Willingness to work with the US CST or PST time zone overlap
• Automation & Technical Aptitude
• Experience building or managing workflows in Clay (or equivalent systems)
• Strong curiosity and ability to learn new tools independently
• Comfort using AI tools and prompting to improve workflows
• Ability to demonstrate technical thinking through: Past work experience, or Personal projects, automations, or systems you’ve built
• Nice to Have
• Experience with Instantly or similar outreach tools
• Light development experience (scripts, APIs, SQL, no-code tools)
• Experience in training or supporting junior team members

• This is a full-time, long-term position. 
• The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement.
• Work from home.
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (+/- 1 hour accepted) - CST or PST.
