As an SEO Executive Strategist at ProSites, you are connecting SMB business owners like dentists, lawyers, and accountants to great solutions that help build successful businesses by bringing in new clients, talking to the right clients, and letting them focus on what they love – their business.  

 

Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing effective search engine optimization strategies, tracking, and analyzing SEO performance for multiple verticals, and ensuring websites are properly optimized. 

 

Our ideal candidate is someone with extensive SEO experience, a strong understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition, and an up-to-date knowledge of SEO trends and changes. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to ensure a positive ROI, website client traffic, and search results such as conversions for all clients 
  • Direct, participate in, and report findings of comprehensive client Website Audits & Competitive Search Analyses 
  • Assist with anchor text and internal linking strategies to maximize rankings
  • Work directly with high value, escalated and at-risk clients to plan & implement online campaigns & SEO strategies that align with client KPIs and marketing goals 
  • Conduct keyword research to guide content teams 
  • Collect data and report on traffic, rankings, and other aspects of SEO 
  • Monitor and analyze SEO statistics such as redirects, click rate, bounce rate, and others 
  • Build systems and create best practices that ensure all content is optimized for SEO 
  • Collaborate with product development and Director of Digital Operations to develop a SEO roadmap 
  • Review technical SEO issues and recommend fixes, both immediate and permanent
  • Work closely with Social Media, PPC and Video Marketing teams to develop more comprehensive search engine marketing approaches 
  • Mentors team members on SEO best practices, strategies, and account management techniques 
  • Models the way for the SEO team to stay on top of SEO industry changes, social trends and search engine updates, utilizing AI where possible 
  • Adept at explaining difficult concepts using simple language and graphics 
  • Lead and monitor a team of SEO, guiding strategy and providing training as necessary 
  • Utilize key tools to assess performance of SEO
  • Make strategic digital marketing recommendations to Sales
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an SEO Director, SEO Manager, or similar role 
  • Cross-functional experience, as this person will have SEO influence across all teams in the organization 
  • Solid understanding of content marketing, performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition; 
  • Communication Skills – speaks and writes clearly and articulately without being over verbose or talkative. Great listener; 
  • Results driven with strong business acumen; 
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS 
  • Familiarity with relevant tools (e.g. SEMrush, RavenTools)
  • Expert with web analytic tools (e.g. Google Analytics, TapClicks) 
  • Proficiency in using Salesforce or equivalent CRM
  • Strong time management and project management skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
  • High tolerance for change and respect for dynamic entrepreneurial management philosophy
  • Proficiency in Excel, specifically data analysis techniques
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or equivalent work experience

Physical/Mental Requirements for the Job:

  • Prolonged periods of seating
  • May be requested to work overtime and weekends if deemed necessary
  • Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds
  • Certain management positions might be required to occasional travel
