Concretely, hereβs what you will do:
1. Lead role and responsibility for departmental quality (35%)
- Develop and maintain high standards of quality and efficiency in SEO projects.
- Oversee the implementation of best practices and emerging SEO technologies.
- Ensure that all initiatives align with the companyβs strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote the 360 approach and maximize opportunities.
2. Strategic relationships with clients and partners (25%)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic partners.
- Act as the main point of contact for large-scale projects.
- Draft and negotiate contracts to maximize growth opportunities.
3. Team coaching, training, mentoring, and development (20%)
- Manage and support the professional growth of SEO team members.
- Design and implement training programs to keep the team at the cutting edge of SEO innovation.
- Provide ongoing mentoring to foster a culture of excellence and innovation.
4. Business development, visibility, and profitability (10%)
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to attract new clients.
- Promote the SEO department across various channels to increase the agencyβs visibility and reputation.
- Monitor the profitability of projects and accounts to ensure sustainable growth.
5. Department efficiency and production management (10%)
- Optimize internal processes to guarantee efficient and high-quality output.
- Manage budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure objectives are met without cost overruns.
- Analyze performance and implement continuous improvements to maximize productivity.
- Develop a long-term vision and plan for future needs.
To succeed in this role, you must:
- Have relevant experience in the field, ideally in an agency.
- Have proven experience in team management.
- Master SEO (on-page, off-page, technical), analytical tools, and search engine algorithms.
- Be proficient with major SEO tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, etc.).
- Be able to simplify technical concepts and train others.
- Be highly organized and able to prioritize.
What you already have or are motivated to develop:
- Ability to define and communicate a clear vision for the SEO department, aligned with the companyβs overall objectives.
- Ability to rally a team around a project.
- Strong knowledge of Excel (we use Google Sheets).
- Research and analytical skills.
- Bilingual in English and French, spoken and written (to communicate regularly with English-speaking clients and suppliers).
