SEO Analyst

Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for collaborating with the digital team and leadership to identify marketing opportunities and develop strategies to increase website traffic. This role is responsible for analyzing and identifying gaps in website content, optimizing pages for improved search results, building links, and writing content creation. This position develops optimization strategies that increase The Villages (and companies) search engine rankings. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented.
  • Audit current site content and optimize copy, metadata, and landing pages.
  • Perform ongoing keyword research.
  • Write compelling, authentic, high-quality web content, page descriptions, alt text and other metadata.
  • Develop and implement best-in-class link building strategies.
  • Manage redirects to preserve link equity when content or site structure changes.
  • Maintain and updates XML sitemaps.
  • Analyze traffic data and identify trends to share in reports and executive summaries.
  • Troubleshoot traffic issues and suggest effective, on-brand solutions.
  • Monitor and increase SERP rankings for target keywords.
  • Execute tests and analyze results to achieve maximum ROI in paid search and paid social campaigns.
  • Collaborate with others within the marketing department to manage SEO strategy.
  • Assist digital team in their overall initiatives as requested.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four (4) year college or technical school; and six (6) years proven SEO and SEM experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in marketing, communications, planned developments or real estate or related fields preferred.
  • Strong understanding of organic content marketing techniques and customer acquisition best practices.
  • Knowledge of search engine ranking factors and algorithms.
  • Hands-on experience with website analytics and measurement tools, like Google Analytics and the Google Ads Suite.
  • Experience with WordPress or other content management systems.
  • Up on the latest updates, trends and best practices in SEO and SEM with the ability to apply them to our business.
  • Utilize office computer and office equipment (copier, fax, etc.) along with a host of other software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, MAC applications, familiarity with CSS, HTML and JavaScript a plus.
