The company has a flagship VPN application with over 1B downloads, ensuring online privacy and anonymity for our users by creating a private network from a public internet connection.

We are seeking an experienced Senior SEO Specialist to drive organic growth and visibility for our VPN products across global markets. This role requires deep expertise in technical SEO, content strategy, and digital marketing within the highly competitive privacy and cybersecurity landscape. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of scaling organic traffic, conversions, and rankings in both traditional search engines and emerging LLM platforms, staying current with the evolving SEO landscape, including AI-powered search experiences. You'll need experience in regulated or competitive industries and understand the unique challenges of marketing privacy-focused products.

Responsibilities: 

» SEO Strategy & Execution

• Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies to increase organic traffic, rankings, and conversions across multiple markets and languages
• Optimize content and website structure for traditional search engines and emerging LLM platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, etc.) to capture AI-powered search traffic
• Conduct thorough keyword research and competitive analysis specific to VPN, privacy, and cybersecurity sectors
• Create and maintain SEO roadmaps aligned with business objectives and product launches
• Monitor and analyze SEO performance using analytics tools and provide actionable insights to stakeholders

» Technical SEO Management

• Perform comprehensive technical SEO audits and implement optimization recommendations
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure SEO best practices in website architecture, page speed, mobile optimization, and core web vitals
• Manage structured data implementation, XML sitemaps, and robots.txt optimization
• Oversee international SEO strategy including hreflang implementation for multi-region targeting

» Content Strategy & Optimization

• Develop and execute content strategies that drive organic traffic, improve search rankings, and generate qualified leads.
• Create high-performing editorial blog content that educates users about privacy, cybersecurity, and VPN technology.
• Oversee content optimization for featured snippets, AI-powered search results, and emerging search platforms
• Optimize existing content and guide creation of new content based on search intent and keyword opportunities
• Ensure content compliance with privacy regulations and industry guidelines while maintaining SEO effectiveness
• Develop content strategies for different funnel stages, from awareness to conversion

» Analytics & Reporting

• Track, analyze, and report on SEO KPIs, including organic traffic, rankings, conversions, and revenue attribution
• Create comprehensive monthly and quarterly SEO performance reports for leadership
• Use data to identify optimization opportunities and inform strategic decisions
• Set up and maintain SEO tracking in Google Analytics, Search Console, and other relevant tools

» Link Building & Digital PR

• Design and execute white-hat link building strategies appropriate for the cybersecurity industry

• Build relationships with relevant publications, privacy advocates, and technology media

• Coordinate with PR teams on SEO-focused digital campaigns and thought leadership initiatives

• Monitor and disavow harmful backlinks to maintain domain authority

Requirements:

 » Experience & Education

• 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience with demonstrated results in competitive industries
• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, privacy, fintech, or other regulated industries preferred
• Proven track record of managing SEO for websites with 300K+ monthly organic sessions

» Technical Skills

• Expert knowledge of SEO tools including SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and how they impact SEO
• Experience with Content Management Systems (WordPress, Webflow, etc.) and SEO plugins
• Familiarity with server-side factors affecting SEO (hosting, CDNs, redirects)

• Knowledge of international SEO and multi-language website optimization

» Industry Knowledge

• Deep understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors
• Knowledge of AI-powered search optimization and LLM content strategies (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews)
• Knowledge of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and their impact on digital marketing
• Understanding of the VPN/cybersecurity industry landscape and competitive environment

• Awareness of content restrictions and advertising limitations in the privacy sector
