Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior SEO Content Manager with a strong focus on content strategy and on-page SEO, ideally with experience in the Swedish market and working with Tier 1 brands in the Nordics. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping content-led SEO strategies that drive organic growth and elevate brand visibility for a renowned home, fashion and beauty eComm retailer 

The successful candidate will lead strategic content SEO initiatives while also producing compelling content themselves when needed. This role demands someone who can craft insightful long-form and short-form content, identify content gaps, and ensure our clients’ digital presence thrives across Nordic markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement content-focused SEO strategies tailored to client goals, ensuring alignment with Swedish market nuances and audience behaviors.
• Lead the development of editorial content strategies that engage audiences and improve organic performance.
• Collaborate closely with content teams to create engaging, search-optimized content that aligns with brand tone and objectives.
• Conduct comprehensive content audits, identifying opportunities for content improvements, expansions, and optimizations.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure content recommendations are effectively implemented.
• Develop SEO content roadmaps, ensuring timely delivery of campaigns and projects.
• Stay informed on Swedish search trends, language-specific insights, and regional SEO best practices.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives, offering strategic insights and actionable content recommendations.
• Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and development.

Qualifications

• Content SEO Expertise: Proven experience developing content-led SEO strategies that drive measurable organic growth.
• On-Page SEO Mastery: Deep understanding of keyword optimization, metadata best practices, and content structuring for search visibility.
• Editorial Strategy Skills: Strong ability to shape compelling editorial content strategies that align with SEO goals.
• Strategic Thinker: Strong ability to align SEO content strategies with broader business objectives.
• Content Creation Skills: Excellent writing and editing capabilities, with the ability to craft clear, engaging, and search-optimized content.
• Swedish Market Experience: Familiarity with Swedish language, culture, and search behavior to create locally resonant content.
• Data-Driven Mindset: Proficient in using SEO tools such as GA4, Google Search Console, and enterprise SEO platforms to inform content decisions.
• Collaboration: Strong communicator, able to work effectively with creative, technical, and client teams.

Key Attributes

• Native Swedish and Conversational English essential, additional Nordic languages are a bonus: Finnish, Norwegian or Danish. 
• Excellent slideshow production ability and storytelling to communicate strategies effectively.
• Excellent approach to content measurement, ensuring performance is tracked and optimized.
• Deep understanding of how SEO content integrates with wider content strategy to deliver seamless campaigns.
• Strong skills with Excel/Google Sheets alongside AI tools to analyze data and inform content decisions.
• Proven experience in exactly these areas to drive successful SEO outcomes.
