The role
As Content & SEO Lead, you’ll own how Alt21 shows up in the market through content.
This is a high-impact individual contributor role responsible for building and executing a content engine that:
- Educates the market
- Drives inbound demand
- Performs in both traditional search and AI-powered discovery
You’ll work closely with the VP Marketing, Growth Marketing Lead, and Sales teams to turn complex financial concepts into clear, valuable content — and ensure it reaches the right audience.
What you’ll be responsible for
Content strategy & positioning
- Develop and execute Alt21’s content strategy across owned and distributed channels
- Translate Alt21’s positioning into clear, consistent narratives across formats
- Develop Alt21’s product positioning and help to create product content and advocacy content
- Build content that supports brand, demand generation, and organic growth
Content creation & production
- Take content from idea to execution across formats including:
- Blogs and long-form guides
- Short- and long-form video
- Webinars, live sessions, and podcasts
- Social-first content (particularly LinkedIn and YouTube)
- Write, edit, and self-proof high-quality content at speed
- Brief and manage freelancers, designers, and external contributors where needed
SEO & organic growth
- Own SEO strategy and execution, from keyword research to on-page optimisation
- Identify opportunities based on search intent, competitor analysis, and performance data
- Ensure content is structured to perform in traditional search engines and AI-driven search experiences
LLMO / GEO (AI search optimisation)
- Optimise content for large language model discovery and generative search results
- Structure content to improve clarity, authority, and citation likelihood
- Stay close to how platforms like ChatGPT, Google SGE, and Perplexity surface information and adapt content accordingly
- Work with Growth to ensure Alt21 becomes a trusted, referenced source in its category
Content activation & distribution
- Publish and activate content across the website, email, and organic social
- Plan launches and amplification in collaboration with the Growth Marketing Lead
- Work with Sales to support conversations with timely, relevant content
Reporting & insight
- Measure content performance across engagement, organic growth, and pipeline contribution
- Report clearly on what’s working, what’s not, and why
- Use insight to continuously refine content strategy and execution
What we’re looking for
- 5–7+ years experience in content, SEO, or organic growth, ideally in B2B, SaaS, fintech, or complex products
- Strong writer with the ability to simplify complex topics without losing accuracy
- Hands-on experience owning SEO strategy and execution
- Clear understanding of how content supports inbound demand and revenue
- Familiarity with AI-driven search, LLM behaviour, or content optimisation for generative answers
- Comfortable working independently and owning projects end-to-end
- Highly organised, with strong stakeholder management skills
- Curious, commercially aware, and standards-driven
